Qualifications

• The Competition is open to acoustic instrumental ensembles of three to five members
• Diverse instruments are welcome
• Members must be engaged in study and/or performance and must be pursuing a career in music
• On November 30. 2009 the average of the ages of all members of the ensemble must be less than 31
• The ensemble must be available for performance as follows:
  • If chosen as a finalist, the ensemble must be available to participate in the Final Competition on March 27, 2010 and to render a concert performance on March 28, 2010; and
  • If selected to perform at the Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival, the ensemble must be available to perform at the Festival on June 11, 2010 and, if requested, to render performances at regional locations on June 12 and 13, 2010
